Let me provide some tips for all you front rangers headed up the the mtns for your once a year trip to say you goto the mtns more or less live in the mtns but live in berthoud

Hit kenosha on Fri Sat or sun between 11 an 2

Ride your brakes ride em the whole way down the pass hard

Act like your the only one who knows this top spot in colorado

Get at least 30 cars behind you as you do 15 under the speed limit while posting live Colorado updates on Facebook

Suck ass in every switch back yet accelerate to 20 over in the straight aways see breaking

Go to the bar hotspings or social media and brag about how cool colorado use all the same old same old sayings as if they are orginal

Don’t forget, if you want to wait for someone to back out of a parking spot, do so whilst still in the traffic lane.

I once blanked this fiasco coming back from fishing and it was like an hour or mor from Jefferson to the top of the pass.

Drove northbound 285 4 or 5 years ago on the last sunday of September. Hit Kenosha at like 4:45 and it I got stuck in the annual Denver pilgrimage to see the fall colors. I think it took almost 2 and a half hours to get to the 470 turn off. Best part was an early winter storm had blown in a few days earlier and there was hardly an aspen leaf left on any tree.

I look forward to the fastfred first hand reports from the next few weekends at the raddest place in #coloRADo

20 years ago I rolled into Breck late afternoon after a ride, to grab some food, only to discover the remnants of Oktoberfest. Drunk people stumbling all over the place. I can only imagine the shitshow it is now. Vibes.

Kebler is still 90-95% green as of this weekend.

The rest of the area is changing and some stands are peaking off Washington Gulch. I'd guess next week will have the most changing leaves still on trees and a lot less green in two weeks.
