WC Patrol got some good movement this morning. Montezuma Bowl ripped pretty big. I was riding in or around that slide path most of yesterday.

Yesterday was crazy windy and refilling the mountain all day. Super-fast snow and go anywhere you want. Today was about perfect bluebird.

Indeed it was a great 3-day stretch. Yesterday, it was kind of hard to decide where to go. There were fresh lines everywhere and nobody around.

Agreed. A bit wettish/dense towards the bottom of Highlands but so so good up high. Only had a half day to get after it (fackin' jorb) but got a lap of untracked just below the bowl and it was goooooood.

Slide was skier's right of A-Bowl, the part under the little cliff that's closed. Ran over the traverse to OTR, which was open. Buddy helped with a probe line. Nobody believed to be caught but Loveland called Alpine Rescue Team in to doublecheck the debris as a precaution.
Holy shit. Glad to hear (most likely) no one caught. Been following this and other threads...

Steamboat was something special yesterday. I'm not sure if it has even stopped snowing yet. There literally was no bottom. So smooth. Why wife was saying "best day ever"!

Jealous. Am going to be in town Friday. Was arbitrary. Could have been yesterday instead. Missed it on a coin flip.

Mary Jane lots full at 9:30

Turned around and skied a few at Berthoud. Berthoud is more crowded now than most days when it was lift served.

    Colorado is full

Why's there gotta be so many holidays? If there were fewer holidays, but people could just take time off when they wanted, it would spread these Jerry's out a little. I feel like we just had some holidays, now there's another, and another next month too! GTFO!

Come on. Let me have some fun laughing at the crowds while I sit in Denver wishing I was skiing (not at Breck tho...)

Meanwhile, there was NOONE on Snowmass the last 2 days. And the other day on Highlands I saw 5 people hiking the bowl, a few in temerity, and 90 on the off camber bump run under Loge.

Abasin hasn’t been bad the last 2 days either. Got there early today and barely waited in line. You could pretty much ski onto the Beavers all day. I hope they don’t ever add more parking. I think the parking shit show deters a fair amount of people.

    Eldora shut down around noon.

    Wind.

    Skiing was decent before that.

Breck has all the upper lifts on hold today, skied non-stop with minimal lines 8:30-12:30 then took off when the tsunami hit, good skiing over most the mountain, hung out in alpaca bowl most of the day.

Doesn’t seem to be any rules at our school. Do what you want. Parents make the rules, I guess

What time did you get there? I think around 9 or 930 I looked back off the lift and it seemed all the traffic on the pass was stopped. Thought maybe they closed it for avy control but I think it was just people trying to get into the basin. Looked like a grade A cluster fuck.

Couple of fine days at Berthoud today and yesterday. Snow was definitely dense and wind affected, but still found some splendid turns.
