Sorry didn’t take any pics of the line. We skied off the summit onto north side. Super casual and obvious! Hope that helps but let me know if you need other beta.

Hit Sunrise off Mt Spaulding this AM. It's pretty bony, and we were late to the corn party (if there even was one), but I've had worse turns.

On the mountain biking front, Westridge is doable, but I don't know i'd recommend it. Still some knee deep patches to hike through and some dead fall. Maybe 2 more weeks. Lower trails like Red are $$ though.

Wow, super thin down low. You can usually ski to the lake from the chutes when they open the road. What time was it ripe?

Looks fun though! Is the trail up Spaulding clear or did you climb up Sunrise?

Skied shooting star on James today. First time, great line! 2ft deep runnel and very narrow in some spots necessitating some side stepping in a few sections. Corn was great at 9:30. Lotsa hiking and pretty thin but probably still worth it this weekend!

I was there today and I think I’d pass.
It was super soft at 9 and got trenched fast. It’s basically back to WROD.
Add in 10X the number of gapers, that never look up hill or over a shoulder and it will be scary.

Tuning forks was awesome on Saturday... Emperor was less so - super sun-cupped and doesn't go all the way to the summit currently.

Wow BC skiing has gotten popular around here.

I first did the Tuning forks 23 years ago or so - in mid June with coverage right from the summit and all the way down the trail to the parking lot at Bakerville. And there wasn't another skier in sight.
