I just remember skiing the basin on what I think was May 21st or so with a 100" base. Made all of the turbo/west turbo area extremely send-able.

Headed down next weekend with my buddy and hoping the southwest flow delivers

It was my second year in Colorado from the midwest. At the time, I don't think I was actually able to fathom how good it was. I also barely made it through Organic Chemistry that spring semester. Can't imagine why.

Had some fun on the chalk at Telluride today. I think I'm going to spending a lot more time there. But god damn do we need some snow!

    Telluride is a fantastic mountain.

It has my stamp of approval. I just wish their passes weren't so expensive. But on the flip side, it was easy to find parking at 10 today and hardly crowded, other than the base area tourist cluster.

Nice SA. You are so lucky to live close to one of the best mountains in NA. So little pressure as a bonus.

Bamboo, wasn't that season that powder day on Pali on Mother's Day? Such a good year.

10/11 Never Forget. Skis would touch the ground one tower prior to the midstation on Lift 4 that year...

Although 11/12 was the worst year I can remember. So maybe 21/22??

I guess the goal at this point is to not have the worst season on record in the CO Basin.

I don't know, I mean its kinda bad but its not that bad!

I haven't been out of my bubble yet but Winter Park has 146 ytd against an average of 350" and the best 3 months of ski season start about now. Bad was whatever year it didn't even make it to 200".

I like powder as much if not more than the next guy but I'm wondering if ya'll are grounded in reality. It's not like blower pow days and stable backcountry is exactly the norm around here.

anyone got a source that shows YTD snowfall for all ski areas?

My favorite, as it takes out September and October melts .https://bestsnow.net/

You don't have to go back THAT far for some banner seasons, 16/17 and 18/19 were both awesome, especially at COs steeper mountains. CB on a 90" base in January? Sick. 100" base at Silverton with 18" of fresh? Sick.

I think the idea of an "average snowpack" sailed in mid December. Deal with it.

You're probably right. At this point I just want enough snow to get the T-bars open at the Butte and some semblance of stability by the spring. Probably still wishful thinking.
