    getting pretty patchy around here.

Skied Wild Child at Loveland this AM. At this point, you can creatively ski from the top of Wild Child to the bottom of Chair 4 with maybe a total of 100-yards of walking. But this will change soon!

    I thought it was nice!

I checked out the Aurum in Snowmass for Happy Hour. It was decent, nice vibe with live music.

Temps have been downright pleasant here. I could go for this all summer.

Nice soaker last night. I'm down for some monsoonal moisture for the rest of the season. Tacky morning trails.

    Colorado Weather Discussion Thread

Spent the weekend in Salida, went to the Sand Dunes Saturday and had some river time today. Rained so hard yesterday at the Dunes, all the way back to Salida, and today in BV all the way to Pine Jct. So great to have all this moisture.

I love it! This is how we stay not on fire and maybe...just maybe...start working our way out of this long term drought. The hydrologists have been talking about "paying back the soil" and that the ground has to go though a few soaking cycles before it can act like a sponge again.

That said, 125 is closed for mudslides and many camping areas are a swampy mess. Skeeters are world class and pine pollen is off the hook. Lets pray for some gully washers Thursday and Friday afternoon during camp set up time.

Just glad AZ and NM are also getting it. Managed to get on wheeler trail yesterday morning before the rain came in, south portion is fully good to go.

I could be wrong, but summer rains rarely get us “Out” of a drought. We need a big winter for that. But I’ll take the rain as long as the air stays nice and clear like it has been.
