Quicksilver lift went down because of a power outage and the lift evac required pulling ski patrol from all over the mountain. As a result, Imperial, T-bar, Falcon and Mercury were forced to shutdown because there weren't enough patrollers to work that terrain. As if skiing Breck over the holiday break wasn't a big enough shitshow to begin with.......EPIC.

People were stuck on the lift for two hours. I’d fucking lose it.

    Random thread hijack question...

Who’s doing solid mounts in Denver these days? Pup’s in Breck is usually my go-to, but it’s a pain to coordinate getting there. Anybody in Denver doing similar quality work?

Bent Gate, Powder 7 in Golden, Green Mountain, and after they tracked down an obscure sole replacement for me, Christy Sports in Arvada has a few experienced shop rat veterans working there that did a nice mount.

Something with cold temp wax on. Good luck, take hand warmers and a thermos of coffee, fire starters, and a thermonuclear device just in case.

Non skiing acquaintance says there's a foot of snow near Brown's Falls / Creek SW of Buena. There's a little on Monarch cam and a fair bit on Cooper cam, but not a foot. Anomaly or questionable source.

Ya, auxiliary diesel should have been option #1 for getting it rolling. Even at a slow that’s way better than rope evac of the public. Something else must’ve been wrong. Maybe controls related?

100% speculative and armchair quarterback here. It’ll be interesting to find out what the issue was...

Based on the weirdo's I've met near Brown's I'm going with questionable source.

But it is a SE storm, so who the fuck knows.
