Only got out from 2-4pm yesterday so I didn’t get back there but there were some deep spots in the forest. Also Wondering what this is like. Bump runs by now I assume but am excited to try it out on a powder day.
Traffic was crazy around Dillon/ Silverthorne all day. I will only be working and hiding until Monday.

i'm thinking about heading up tomorrow for my first day of the season, to either WP or Copper. Going to be stuck on green and blue groomers, as it's my first day back from a torn PCL and I'm not trying to undo 4 months of PT. What do we think? Refrozen crust garbage after being so warm today? if so, I might hold out.

You’ll be fine. Groomers will be in great shape.

yeah I mean it got a little warm but N and E facing terrain especially will be holding up just fine. Looked like a lot of wind off the peaks from town.

Word thanks guys. By this point last year, I had about 35 days in and could tell you what was skiing good anywhere, but with the injury, this year so far I just haven’t been paying attention at all. Looking forward to getting out and cruising. Not looking forward to the traffic, but at least I have heated and comfier seats and a much better stereo this year.

FWIW I didn’t go up there due to taking it easy on the knee, but Tucker looks very bumped out.

Was out early last yr due to bad injury, @ about 80% now, plan to be back on skis next wk or so. Last 15yrs, always CO/Epic pass holder with wife. Didn't get Epic + Abasin passes this yr because of lingering injury and baby #2 due end of this Jan. Abasin is my spot. Now that we are getting into full-swing, what's Abasin been like this yr crowd wise after getting off the Epic train? Wife got me 5 days for xmas, but thinking of bumping up to full pass if crowds of last 2-3 yrs have been taken out back and shot. Limited ski time this season, so on fence what to do. Tx guys.

How's the snow at abasin? Haven't been in a few years and can't remember if it's good on the low-tide. Wondering because the website is reporting a 39" base.
On the other hand, it looks like everything beside the east wall is open, which is a good sign.
Last time I was there was before that new quad. Stoked to see what's up with all those new tree runs.
