If crested butte lists trail as closed does that mean they do not intend to open it

Not until avy control is performed first.

I really hope no one tries to poach. I see a repeat of Prima Cornice incident possible.

Damn, crazy. Looks like nobody is going to make it up to Copper to ski all that snow they got.

Interesting. I definitely remember seeing a 5/5 two years ago during that huge January storm cycle but it probably wasn't as widespread.

They've had Extremes before, they've never had 5 zones go Extreme since they started the 10 zone forecast.

Looks like Peak 1 towards Vctoria trees went huge. Created a new path destroying a ton of trees.

The snow at Beaver Creek this morning was a legit 14-16", but it skied more like 6" because it was so thick. Saw tons of people eat shit because it was so grabby and creamy.

I'm not sure where everyone came from since it's Thursday and 70 is closed, but Grouse and BOP got tracked out faster today than I've seen all season.

Hopefully karma for their price gouging gas.

Deepest day I've ever had at Keystone. Windows were thigh to hip deep. Delayed opening of N peak. They said that they were having to do any control work on the front side of the mountain, which is pretty much unheard of. Worried about groomers sliding. WTF?

Hope the basin can open tomorrow. Gonna be a shitshow, unless everyone goes to Vail.

CDOT just posted the pass will be closed for the next 24-48 hours. Wonder if they’ll let Abasin open or keep the closure at keystone.

Right above my house, classic steep shady lodgepole/doug fir zone that holds rotten sugar snow all winter
