The avi debris on the E side is absolutely mindblowing. Like landscape nuclear bomb blowing.

Still in awe. I've never seen that level of destruction and any avi paths run that big.

Full mature trees, thousands, snapped and shredded. Across the road and up the other side of the valley.

Still mind blown. It is like pixy stix with 100 year old trees and monster boulders.

    Agape.

Went out early to ski Dead Dog. Heard and saw point releases and rock fall on the East face and thought better of it. Skied some terrific corn on the North face of Grays instead. auvgeek:

As consolation prizes go, this one was pretty sweet. It's fun to ski fast.

Not weather related but holy shit, ran into packs of tourons riding Vail Pass on e-skateboards and scooters. Most annoying trend ever 🤦

GoPro weekend they are all over. Saw one of the crew carrying a cattle-guard on one of those one-wheel things. Forget the name.

Equally annoying is how they all stop on the bike path, stare at their phones (all 20 of them) and are completely oblivious to bikers trying to get around them. Gotta upload the footy brah!

^It's definitely over the banks starting at the confluence of the SF and RG. #3-7 are underwater at the golf course. A couple of homes just out of sight in the first pic, where the river disappears around the bend, are having some issues. One house is cut off by the river and sitting on a barely-protected little island.

I'll be out east of SF today for some work but am also going to check out river conditions around cr18/Embargo Crk. We are really lucky it has stayed relatively cool, so far, as there is still a shit-ton of snow up high. WC could have been open way later than they were....like 6-8 weeks later.

weird, mountainbuzz.com doesn't even have the RG in the "high" color as far as flows.

Srsly - if you build a house in the flood plain of a river it's gonna occasionally get flooded. Seems like people would have learned that by now...

Any news re: when the Tenmile Canyon section of the Vail Pass path will be cleared? Tons and tons of debris but haven’t seen any activity.

One of their county commissioners recently became the state Department of Natural Resources director. Good thing or bad thing?

Definitely a massive task at hand. Just haven’t seen anyone doing any work which surprised me. At least the Copper-Vail stretch is plowed now.
