Was open yesterday too. I wasn’t able to get up til 1:30 the past couple days (after work turns) so I wanted to focus on making laps and didn’t get up there. Looked like some nice turns up there I was jealous for sure!

Saw this from above, it was a pretty steady stream of skiers and snowboarders but the crowd was very light. Don't know how it would have been from up close, but for the effort I'll stay home and watch ski films at home.

I showed up at 1pm and the pali line was pretty long for two runs then got progressively shorter to where the last 5 runs of the day I skied onto the lift. Lots of Ikon passes, and drunken antics on the beach. I think they rented out 3/4 of the beach. Snow was good, and the runs seemed empty.

Hawkgt and I gutted Mandatory top to bottom, what a treat!
Other first time runs included Sunset, Rope Dope 2, Meatball, Bonita Basin, Raff Cliffs, Tea Bag Squeezer, and Chainsaw.

Yeah I couldn’t believe how well south aspects skied.

On another note, hope everyone can get out and make some turns for CRJ, he passed 10 years ago today.

Snow squall warning, that's a new one. Everyone's phones went off, like an Amber alert.

    * At 807 AM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located near Aspen, or
33 miles southeast of Glenwood Springs, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Snow and blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 45 mph.

    SOURCE...Radar indicated.

    IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

Reduce your speed and turn on headlights! During snow squalls, the
visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions.

Serious injuries and deaths may result from people exiting their
vehicles during a snow squall. Drivers may not be able to see you or
to stop! If stopped on the roadway or involved in an accident,
quickly exit your vehicle move as far away from the roadway as
possible ONLY when it is safe to do so. Do not stand along or near
the roadway, since approaching vehicles may be unable to maintain
    control.

Prolly because it is a new thing. Next thing you know you'll be getting these every day in the summer telling you the UV is too high, or the air quality is too shitty.

I think I got a local one a few months ago for a shooting in Avon or something.

But as fred mentioned, it is getting real out there this morning in the 80424

That was a gnarly drive, I appreciated the piercing siren sound from my phone while I was white knuckling it with zero visibility, really added to the experience
