Glad you had fun with the kid but that sucks to hear about the crowds. Pretty soon there’s going to be limited reservations for everything we do outdoors...ugh.

People, stop moving to CO. For the love of GAWD!!

FWIW, outdoor rec access is uncrowded/easy in Colorado compared to OR/WA.

Really? How can I recreate with less than no people. I’m sure the popular trailheads and areas are crowded in CO, OR, and WA. I haven’t noticed any crowds over the last year in WA or OR. Access couldn’t be easier for me in WA.

Fyi, I have a camp site reserved at Highland St park for next weekend, April 23-25 for $56 if anyone is interested. Gonna post it on Front range bike swap if no interest.

We were there 2 weekends ago and 18 Road was a zoo on Saturday during prime time. It started to empty out in the afternoon. Horse thief and the parking lot was surprisingly empty at 8:45 am on Sunday. It was a total cluster when we were hiking out and lot was completely full at 11am.

What, 4-8” for Wanker Park and LL? Seems in line with NOAA. They’ve got up to 12” north of I70.

    Colorado Weather Discussion Thread

I70 and Denver will likely be a shitshow if this dumps on the high end of the forecast. Oh, what am I talking about, 3” will make them a shitshow.

Good day to haul some heavy stuff up I70. Maybe tow a sailboat?

pray that 70 closes cause one too many campers and boats being pulled

pretty sure I know who smoked the bowl and left his flip phone at the basin

Dumping over vail pass. Sign said I70 closed at Dillon so drinking Outer Range, sleeping in the minivan after a great day in the La Sals.

Gonna take my 8am from Luv and ski a few laps after if anyone is around. Green FRS, white helmet.

Speaking of FRS — was it a mag at Luv patrol tryouts this weekend repping vintage FRS?

I actually had a dream last night I was at Crested Butte for closing day and people kept asking me to do stuff before we went up and all of a sudden it was sunset and I had never gotten out on the slopes. I woke up dreaming I was super pissed about it.

Sucks that half the damn lifts stopped spinning two days ago.

Our nightmares are a little different than other people's I guess.

3” at the basin this morning made it fun enough. Nobody there and definitely skied deeper in spots.

Dumping in Denver again. Always hope these late winter spells drive people to move away.
