Colder than the last few storms, should mean bigger snow totals. Been falling as snow all day at my house (7100') last few storms were rain at my elevation. Had a lull midday but has been going pretty hard the last few hours.
Imagine Purg and WC will be solid tomorrow. Telluride looks like they are getting the shaft so far.

Hope you are right on colder temps. 6” of heavy, wet is not my idea of snow removal bliss this evening after a much lighter dawn patrol xc tour. Especially if we do get 2 or 3’. I was told to expect the possibility of 80 mph wind gusts Wed.

I like the taxpayer bull bar that they saved at least. Very effective use of funds.

Welp we are snowed in once again. Snowed probably 6" in the last 3 hours in town. Silverton Mountain won't even open tomorrow due to the rising danger closing the road to the mountain. See ya after the storm ya'll!

This makes me happy except for the fact that there will be at least 3 more fatalities before we close out this season. Mr. Greene, I wouldn't want your job. It's like a Tarantino movie at this point, and mister pink is not the culprit.
That is the feeling of the next one who tempts the cuntress. Be forewarned.Last edited by MakersTeleMark; 03-21-2023 at 09:36 PM.

This is how I feel about the Colorado Snowpack:
I can kill you, I can kill you, with dat one gaze, you are done. Contempt. An oft missed secret of pain. There is that real degradation of the risk. You are nothing. You are nothing. 3:12. You can learn a lot about not dying in avi terrain right there. The fact is we have a erotic desire that we want to sustain. Nothing more, nothing less. And brain chemistry plays a hudge part of that.Is it radix panax notoginseng? - splat

Raining, super saturated deep snow, roof & avalanches, power fluctuations high winds, followed by big temperature drop. What could possibly go wrong?
Real nice skiing yesterday, however. Especially since all of the locals left for Mexico for spring break.Last edited by Alpinord; 03-22-2023 at 09:59 AM.

Dropped the wife off at the Montrose airport this morning the drive back to Gunnison was pretty sketchy. The good news is I am going to play bachelor for the next 5 days and it is dumping at CB. Probably going to get a whole more turns in than honey dos.

Even though I know CB is known for not getting much annual snow, I’m amazed this is only the 5th time ever they’ve crossed 300” on the season.
