What altitude? We were between 10k and maybe 10,600 about 10 days ago, and it was getting thin.

Haven't been but I would guess it's too thin. St Vrain Mountain looks like it might be good: either the east face or the more southern of the southeast facing chutes. The latter would likely involve some moderate scree hopping to get in and out.

Popped over to Eldora's site to see if it was still snowing up there, and they're showing a conditions report from...Killington, VT

That’s cause they clean it off at 4:30 so presumably most of the 5 fell yesterday before 4:30

Maybe. But it wasn’t snowing much up there during the day yesterday. Or so I’m told. Who knows...

Touche. For early season lift served turns I'm prioritizing shortest drive to the hill, and that's Eldora in my case, canyon construction aside.

I am going to be in Edwards on Saturday and want to get some exercise (not expecting actual quality turns). Is there enough snow right now so skin up Arrowhead? Or potentially West Lake Creek?

It gives you a point of information as far as what's happening in the Indian Peaks.

    "Yeah, but it's not"

It always cracks me up when people fall for the hype that is a bit of early snow.

"You know, it hasn't snowed in about a month, in way 55 and raining two days ago, this 2" is just gonna make the trails muddy."
"But it, is ski season! I gotta bitch about something, I can't believe that such and such isn't open!"
