I know this storm is an upsloper....but where is the snow? I thought we'd get at least a little bit here in Breck. Partly sunny skies.....

Not much here in the northern Front Range either... maybe 2" on the grass in Niwot. It did rain pretty hard last night before it turned over to snow, though.

that, plus the snow is compacting/melting quickly. I have maybe 2" showing in Boulder, but I bet a total of 4-5" actually fell.

Weird. I wasn't expecting much in CB given the wind direction but it has been snowing hard all day. Powcam is showing 8+"

Any reports from Berthoud? Snotel seems to show no change in snow depth?

What kind of report? It's fall. Sometimes is snows but usually not enough to go skiing. If you want to take your skis for a walk, have at it. I'd suggest doing something else.

See CAIC frontpage, click on snowfall

I don't see Berthoud in there - maybe the instrument isn't yet working up there. Looking at Cotrip's camera it looks like a couple inches.

Both Loveland and Berthoud had plenty of skier activity after the last storm. This storm was supposed to produce 12"-18" potentially in the northern mtns...I was wondering if that came to fruition on BP. Doesn't sound like it though.

Interesting. Skiers around here get more retarded every year. I shouldn't be surprised. Its a good reminder to let me human probes do there thing and not go to Berthoud until after the ski areas have a decent amount of terrain open.

I don't disagree but both locations had deep pockets of blown-in snow last week. I hiked on Loveland last week and people were shuttling up the pass

I was actually asking about Berthoud for hiking purposes though. I was hoping it didn't get the higher totals predicted.

3" in Vail that pretty much melted off by afternoon. They are firing up the Golden Peak guns, but don't know if they'll hold on to it all.

It certainly looks like ski season up high... I'm not too sure we'll see the temps to burn this off especially on the N aspects... so, yeah, the earlier gripes were realz.

Fuck that noise. I will wait until they at least have ramrod and Sundance open before wasting my time with that. Maybe I’ll even wait until Keystone opens so then the crowds of idiots will go there.

It is prime biking time down here and the scrub oaks are going to be peaking in color soon

Normally, I'd wait for more snow, but I'm having a minor procedure done next Tuesday which will take me off line for about two weeks, and that's just too long to be in suspense about how my Quixotes feel on my feet.
