In early December a few years back about 12/8 or so around Birds of prey it had been snowing like this for a while and I kept my eye on the gate at elk elk and sure enough them boys dropped the rope and I slid over looked at the patroller rolling the rope up and he just pointed and smiled. 25 people place empty no one had been any where was unreal.
I noticed the day before they groomed the cream cheese and saw only two pairs of tracks from the cliff band down to the chair and sure enough next open.
So chance em' go early.

Where are you seeing rain?
Vail today was legit. Still lots of untracked in the back bowls and visibility was fine until it started dumping around 2. Snow was pretty heavy. Tomorrow will be legit on the usual aspects.
No crowds to speak of, despite Montanaskiers predictions.
Hot tub time.

The Beav was fun but warm and wet. It was quiet too so that was good. Vis went to shit around 1. No rain but it's 36 on the floor currently. NWS has backed off totals a bit....not sure it'll get below freezing around 8k and below. Mountains should have some

A little bit on the warm side. It needs to cool down a few degrees if we want to get some real snow.
I heard Denver got stuck at Copper in traffic so wasn't crowded at Vail today. Also, haha, no sharks in the back bowls at Vail. I think there are only about 8 rocks to count there. Mostly just grass.

The high mountains around Summit should do the best with this warm air. Just not much going in Eagle Cty yet....colder air arrives later. BSB opening will be fun! Be safe fellas

heavy wet snow 32 and dumping in summit should help fill things in nicely even though it's not real powder, more like east coast shit snow

So 3" in Vail, 18" at the Basin. Discuss.
Was planning on going to Vail today, now probably sticking closer to home. Basin is going to be nuts, discount tix for their anniversary too.

That happens almost every time with warm pineapple storms like this. Stoked for ABasin and others. It's cleared out over here and should be wsrm nice day.

Think this is a good day to bring out the protests considering how heavy the snow is. Maybe should have brought my powderboards even.
Happy enough with the 10 inches here in steamboat considering it was lightly raining until about 11pm
