10 day Fx looks pretty good for spring skiing. Cold Friday to lock things up. Temps are not as drastically warm after that. Dust sucks.

You'll need your ski crampons for sure.

Yes, hopeful. And will happily drag ski cramps around to wait for some corn!

    It rained in Silverton today...

I have never seen so much snow melt in three days around here. Really hoping this next few days lock things back up so we can have a nice long spring season that was promised.

EDIT: It is currently pouring rain all the way to at least 11k... fuuuuuck this

Those are part of the rocks that broke off of the cliff, scoured the slope and took out hundreds of trees. It looks a lot like the Memorial Rock ‘gouging’ from several years ago outside of Dolores on Hwy 145, but the rocks are a fraction of that big guy.

Any chance that Highlands reopens the bowl for some spring skiing this weekend with the freezes coming back?

The snow and below freezing temps were a welcome sight this morning. The last few days of rain and warm had really messed up my mood.

All these people who were psyched about the warm should go to mexico or something. It's still April damn it!

    Seriously.

I wish it was snowing here in CB. Even a few inches would reset some of our steeper N facing lines that were skiing great early this week.

On it, champion... I leave on Sunday for a week of mountain biking in Oaxaca. You're welcome if it happens to bring more snow.
The older I get, the faster I was.

    Punch it, Chewie.
