Careful buddy, podunk is in these days. CB marketing should make T-shirts that say "Podunk as fuck" or something along those lines.

Quite the mixed bag in the Red Mountain Pass area. Was kind of fun trying to find turns with good snow, safe hazard, and minimal rocks. I found a few.

You know what's not fun? Getting sideswiped by a Texan hotshot driver's 40' gooseneck. I'm totally fine and it could have been a lot worse, but two flats and waiting for a tow truck for a few hours killed the vibes of a nice day in the mountains a bit.

No. I was driving when the accident occurred. He was scared of the drop off and was almost completely in my lane.

I would never park there unless I had two flats lol.

First day on snow in Colorado in 3 years and it was a pretty good one (Saturday). Feels weird tho not having the time anymore to build up my legs with white ribbon and bump laps.

Fucken eh. I know that turn well and have had a few scary moments due to shitty texans driving their stupid 40' long rigs. Hopefully the perpetrator didn't give you a hard time about it and his insurance ponies up. Glad you got some turns in despite the shitty ending.

Winds are raging here now with light precip in town, fingers crossed this storm actually delivers for the Juan's.

Damn SA91, glad you are ok. That is a scary road when you mix in the flatlanders white knuckling up the center of it. I was going to hit up CB today as well but work reared its ugly head.

Ski-on laps FTW! Caught the rope drop into Southern Cross and Tiger terrain......Deep. I'm really enjoying the lack of crowds thus far.....it feels completely different this season.

Copper was nice today, not really any new rope drops but a good amount of runs open and was able to carefully start dipping into the trees in select areas. Now the snow cats need to catch up with the snowmaking and it's time for the racers to be done hogging the terrain off the b, IMO

Thanks. Unfortunately I caught some kind of plague at ski school, not surprising. But I did go snowshoeing with the doggo yesterday and turned on the christmas lights. Skiing today. Copper sucks everyone should go to Breck.

Those Lindahl pics got me missing my East Vail days too!! Skiing that zone everyday in the early 2000s sure was a treat. Not sure if my old body could take all the big hucks to flat anymore. I guess if it’s deep enough.

Who post the map back in the day? Summit? Classic tgr drama

11am and zero lines on a 8" report in breck with only two peaks open. Weekday skiing is back to it's prime (barring the holiday break obviously, also hoping I'm not jinxing it but probably am)!

Ha, yeah, I still have that map in my emails somewhere. Gah I loved skiing EV. But a season at Alta really changed my pov.

Epic pass sales up 6% this season, so no, it doesn't look like there was a mass exodus to Ikon. I don't think that Ikon/Alterra shares their numbers. Maybe because they aren't a publicly traded company like VR?

It would be interesting to see the numbers broken down by region. Like maybe their sales in CO were down but sales in CA and/or WA were up for example. Either way, enjoy the shitshow.
