WTF man don't you have a sprinter? You're not supposed to actually camp in it, you just take the Instagram photos then go back to the VRBO

I ended up riding NPR on Tuesday evening and then Flash of Gold to Grouse yesterday AM. FKN good stuff. Grouse was some of the highest quality tech I've personally ridden, and the Flash of Gold climb was just incredible starting at 745am.

On sighting Grouse with a half working rear brake was a real test of my lack of skill lol. I ended up walking some moves but look forward to coming back and riding it with folks who know the trail well.

Wet and chilly this weekend in the mountains. Maybe the peepers will stay home? Or maybe just all go to Kenosha?

Clearly you've forgotten about the pulloff on the Peak to Peak, just south of the south Sourdough TH. There will be peepers there fucking shit up, guaranteed.

I like when everyone goes to Kenosha. They go right by a quiet LCW trail with absolutely stellar aspens.

I mean, when it's popping it's a great view. But people make a pilgrimage to it, which is weird AF.

Yes, very weird. Especially since there’s no trail or anything.

I’m trying to place your trail but I don’t think I have it. Interesting. Feel free to PM me if it’s something I should know.

    No pressure.

    Just sayin.

    Feel free.

It'll probably blow up soon, he did use the trendy "IYKYK" moniker.

Surprised how long it is taking for the Vail Valley to peak. Still not there. Hopefully it snows this week and rips em all off.

Penitente Canyon- looking to go there this weekend since the weather might be better than here at home. Is there camping other than the campground? How's the riding?

place sucks don't go there its full of san luis valley meth heads raging they will steal your catalytic converter while you sleep
on the other hand the camp grounds are nice but fuck me I showed up and it's all reserve on line bullshit this year
plenty of dispersed camping to be had tons of it actually hang a left instead of going right to the canyon and campground
don''t tell anyone but the place is fucking awesome poorly marked trails lots of choose your own adventure riding there is a big loop I do and the single track is pretty single in places and its kinda creepy though but that might be me smoking dope and getting paranoid just don't read up on the penitentes
maybe I should join you cause this weather is depresssing the fuck out of me right now

Ride the 12 hrs of penitence 17 miles 1670 vert. If you want more turn around and ride the other direction. Only trail not worth riding is the little piece of blue sky that goes across the top of the canyon connecting capulin to rock drops. Fred was on the camping. Anywhere on the right side of the county road on way to del Norte. If you want another ride. Middle Frisco or trout creek.

Fred just roams circles around his camper, HAF. So if you see a person hula hooping a sprinter, tell him to change directions every once in awhile and point out he can go in the open door to take a rest.

would love to but it's a 2.5 hr drive and I have meetings all morning and that means I'd get there around 5 or 6 and not able to ride holding out for ok weather in the mtns so I can salvage the weekend lots of snow capped peeks and changing leaf porn to be had this morning

camp up near the wagon tracks area

if you see a sprinter van pimped out someone sitting in an easy chair outside and a dog just wandering around aimlessly with no owner in sight as for change for a nickle
