Colorado Weather Discussion Thread
Starts at the bottom of Cowboy Coffee/Dust Bunny, top of Meadows Lift.
It’s entirely an elevated feature with a few skinnies and two jump options at the end.
It’s the expert trail, in the beginner area.Last edited by Shredhead; 08-04-2022 at 10:17 AM.

Copper brought Gravity Logic in before the pandemic. They paid over 10K just for the consult. Copper chose to build an alpine coaster instead.
However, they decided they wanted trails and brought Gravity Logic back last fall to lay out trail. GL has been building trail starting this summer.
They have planned 40km of new GL trail and running a two chairlift bike park. That's the future. This will be great.
Keystone is actually doing bike park trail work, a very strange thing! They had a park management changeup where the terrain park is now running the bike park instead of patrol. This is a good thing to have people who understand maintained features matter and to have a more dedicated biker in charge. If they would just pay to send him to Whistler, since Vail owns both.
Unfortunately Keystone's pretty boy COO is preoccupied with the contractor fuckups in the back bowls (unsanctioned construction road across the tundra) that caused USFS to freeze their lift building project and will probably prevent the Bergman lift from being finished this summer. That is a black eye for him. Oh well. Keystone has been treated as managerial trainee wheels by VR for over a decade. Nobody stays long enough to understand mtb potential, and Katz hates bikes.
I hear Trestle has a sick new trail open.Originally Posted by blurred

What's the go to quick 1-2 hour mtb loop in Telluride? "The Gentleman's Loop" (Prospect -> Jurassic)? Any other options with a little more climbing?

Weenie Wasatch?
Edit: Haven't been to Telluride since June and I guess the Gondola and See Forever are closed for the season for the new Lift 9 construction/new snowmaking lines. Which is a bit of a bummer.
I'd check out Millcreek/Waterline for something closer to 45 mins/1 hr Deep Creek from Eider if you're looking for something more challenging.

Colorado weather is exactly inverse to Washington weather. It's dry as fuck here right now, so Colorado is extraordinarily wet. I assume it will be another wet winter here in Washington (because we always seem to regress to the mean), so Colorado will not be getting any snow this winter. Basically, if you hate the weather in Colorado, go to Washington for the exact opposite, summer or winter, and vice versa. They are yin and yang.
