Any mag beta on the Southwest huts along La Manga and Cumbres Pass? Looks like it might be more x-country focused, curious if the downhill options are worth the drive.
I saw on the caic site they had an avalanche reported last winter down there. Never heard of them before that. You can view the yurt locations on google earth. I did not see anything interesting around them. Also it is amazing how fast the snowpack goes to shit any direction from Wolf Creek. If you are interested in a yurt down here the Pass Creek Yurt has some ok skiing around.

I went to one of the yurts (if that's what you're talking about) some 25+ years ago. Don't recall much in the way of good turns, though it was still a lot of fun.

I was there, in the rain!

I was mostly joking, they are killing it with the music really. But would it kill them to have one, just one, metal band? I'd really just love to see the blue hairs on the local HOAs loose their minds!

Heck, I'd be all over that! The rain worked out well, the show started later and I think the encore went til 10:45 or so, seeing as they have the 10pm curfew.

Its very cold and no, no swimming. People wade off the beaches, fish, kayak, paddleboarding and motor boat but no swimming.

Kill internet service to the mountains and all will go back to the good old days when locals lived their happy lives and didn't have to live in their homeless trucks.

It's the fucking cheese counter in City Market. Dude is about to be disappointed.

The Pizza Hut is gone, a long-time local joint moved in and added on a patio.

Those passes get good snow. Not super exciting but the best skiing I have had was on the southeast side of Neff Mountain.

I love it here, but it sure would be nice to average another 10-15 a year in precipitation.
