Perfect spring skiing today. Still lovely chalkiness above treeline.
Just so beautiful! I have one pic from a chair, haven't posted a pic in a long time. Forgot how...
I figure it's good to look around the day before snow is forecast. Coverage is there, where I was skiing at Copper, but I'm always biased toward wind loading.
Hopefully winter comes back with a vengeance.Last edited by shera; 03-03-2021 at 04:37 PM.
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

Oh boy, 5 inches and 40-45 degrees today!!
At least I heard patrol is going to get peak 7 going any day now... the boundary chutes gates have been open and skiing great though.

Basin was mehh dust on crust this morning. Disclaimer: my mood was already tainted from the 15-20 minute delay through keystone for a fender bender then a full lower lot when I finally got there at 9am (definitely the earliest I have seen the lot full on a weekday this season). Ok that is enough bitching, there were a few real nice soft turns to be had in some spots of the beavers then as you got lower you found that firm base and less snow.

Peak 7 and Six Senses both opened for the first time this season. Both thin but really good turns if you’re familiar with it.

Glad I skipped it. I had an early appt in town and was fully planning on heading up there till I saw the traffic backed up in Keystone. Had a feeling that would happen as the roads were about as slick as I’ve ever seen them. Driving in town was a nightmare.
It’s been pretty damn busy lately.like spring break started early. Easter is early this year too and I wonder if the resorts will close on their planned closing dates.

Hey guys just curious what the long range forecasts are showing for the I-70 resorts mid-March. Any pattern changes? We will be in Vail 3/17-22. Thanks!

Models showing potential for a HUGE upslope event. 40+” or so for the northern front range.
