LL was a mess. Wind shut 4 and 8 and the lines were long for most of the morning.

chilly chilly wind, but the snow was nice.

Heh, that was me. I know I am a gaper. I saw that sign the other day when heading over to 5 and figured I was the cause of that FWIW, according to A-Basin patrol, a closed sign sans rope at A-Basin is a soft closure, so you can still go get rad if you so desire. I inquired about this early season when they had closed signs at the top of the lower alleys.

Thx for sharing that link - I remember reading that story, but couldn't re-find it. I can definitely see that happening in there. It's a jungle for sure! And also understand why A-Basin patrol is trying to get more folks up-to-speed on the terrain and routes in there

Some real nice turns off 4 & 8 at the love today since they didn’t open yesterday.

Definitely feels like spring, sun angle is starting to get up there. Some real hot pow in east/west ropes area.

The almost 3.5 weeks of winter we had were pretty great though.

Super windy on the Divide. ABasin only has BMX and Lenewee open. I’m assuming Loveland only has 1,2,6 open? Lots of snow moving above treeline. Be careful out there.

I’m wondering the same thing. I mean it has been busy all winter, I wonder if March is going to be the same or even busier. Without a few more storms, shit is going to be getting pretty thin here. I know the rentals I manage are all booked up so there’s that, but they were booked in Feb too.

Yesterday at Vail was crazy busy for a Monday. Felt fairly SB crowd like.

Confirmed. Tree goods were still aplenty after the busy weekend.

Why wouldn't it be? I bet it's even worse than usual... the combination of cases/deaths declining, no real int'l travel, and people cooped up all winter. No way I'd expect anything less than Epikonic crowds for the next 3-4 weeks.

Seems like midweeks are more crowded than normal this year...a combo of people out of work, doing work remotely or college aged kids are not doing live classes?

scummit is moving down a level what ever that means
I'm guessing the number of people I see at trails heads using drugs and car sex will be up this spring break
not going to break any records

Yeah, it has been a different level and a different flow altogether imo. I haven’t fully come to terms with it if I am being honest. Guess that’s on me, but fuck man...
