yeah! They opened most of the runs off Panorama Ridge yesterday. It was pretty fun. Nice to see a patrol that is aggressive on opening terrain (the anti-Loveland)

Definitely low tide, so be careful.

Here is my 14 yo son on JR's yesterday:

A solid 2" of fluff on my deck at the boat, but at least it's cold. Sun starting to peak out now.

I can confirm that Eldora is open and there is skiing available there. That's about all I can say.

Shoveled the eventual 3" off my deck around 3:30 and then it proceeded to dump another 4" in about an hour. Go figure.

I hiked up to 9500' yesterday to a little point behind the house, the higher up you went, the more dry the trail became. I bet it's like that again later this week, mid-forties and sunshine for the foreseeable future. But Steamboat got their snow on opening day so now they can advertise the shit out of it all week. Meh.

Nice to see decent flakes today considering the forecast.. but the coming blocking ridge/Rex pattern is concerning. Hope for that change up in a couple weeks.

It's one of those places that gets a lot of (deserved) shit, but is actually much better than most people realize. When more than just the icy groomers are open. Which are not open now.

It has its pros and cons, like anywhere else. Placer and Gully are pretty fun.
I don't think I have a single powder day there. Take a guess why

In the boat but I still might defer my Ikon, I could use a break from it locally tbh and this is the year to do it. I may still punch in come January, we'll see how it goes, WP and Copper will be worth it alone even if I didn't live here. But I'm not in a rush to use it. LL pass gives me addt'l options esp come late April/early May.

Jax, if you do punch in, and you make it to Eldora, give a shout. I'll be there every Sunday. And now that I'm WFH for the foreseeable future, I can also get away for some turns during the week without taking the day off. I'm intensely polishing my love/hate relationship with Eldora.

That "give a shout" actually goes out to all y'all.
