Pretty simple, they parked people sparsely then just show your reservation confirmation/pass at a kiosk, then ride! Have to go up BMX to get over to Pali although only Slalom and grizzly open from there.

Maybe a few in line at Lenawee around 10ish but otherwise ski right on the lift

Not really any lines, longest line was waiting for Black Mountain to open at 8:30, and one time we got to Lenawee and it was single file spaced to the end of the cue, 2-3 min top.

Didn't seem like there were anywhere near 600 people there.

If that was 600 people there today, it sure didnt feel like it. Waited maybe a chair or two every time. Snow was in great shape too. Skinning for a few months straight really makes you appreciate chairs...

I'm hearing reports that somewhere between 100-150 people that won a reservation to ski yesterday, never showed up. I can't prove the legitimacy of that claim, but I wouldn't doubt it.....people are dipshits. Those folks should be blacklisted for the remainder of the season.....you had your chance and failed, too bad.

I mean I had to leave at 11 for work, but when I did there weren't many people. Only half the main lot was open, and then there was only maybe 4 lines of cars in the 2nd lot, highly doubt 600 people.

Well yeah......but you showed up and skied! That counts.

Apparently there were 4,000 people logged in on Monday afternoon trying for those 600 spots, which caused the system to crash. Damn.

actually sounds like good news... novelty appeal for the most part. after the novelty wears off, should be easy to get tickets. weekdays in particular.

Yeah I was saying that I figured 600 people would’ve filled the parking lot a bit more. It was just pretty empty, more so proving your point.

when you think of 600 people, realize it is highly unlikely that they will all be there at the same time. I am guessing most of the 600 (or most of however many actually showed) skied a couple/three hours and split. And some arrived in the morning to do that and some in the afternoon.

Haven't been up there, but from the looks of it they might be able to stretch it out. Pali was still open. They can keep the upper snowfield going for a long time if they want, it just depends on how much they want to put into it.

I got the "no soup for you" email for tomorrow. May float the upper C instead (salmonfly hatch). Although the rubber hatch/shitshow will be in full effect. However, with that comes the bikini hatch...

It's going to be interesting if reservations are required everywhere next season.

I'm willing to bet there's no way that happens. A good gauge will be the bike parks this summer... from the few I've looked at, I haven't seen anything about reservations required. They're just loading chairs/gondolas differently.
