They are bombing up there as I type this. Keep your fingers crossed. That's typically a sign that it might be opening soon. If too much slides when they bomb it it can't open, but hopefully it's thin enough (weird thing to type) that it holds when they bomb.
The snow coming end of week could put it over the top if it doesn't look good to them now.
Usually there are rumors in town just before North or High opens, but I haven't heard anything. I'm banking on the bombing, and hoping.

I nearly lost my pass twice last season because of the Keystone safety douches. Part of the reason I bailed on epic and now enjoy the goods elsewhere.
Anyone know how the wind was up on berthoud today? I know A-bay was super windy. I am getting off of the flu and looking for some fresh turns but not gonna put myself through the coughing fit if its wind chop and just save myself for the crowds this weekend.

Just a PSA. If you find the ski PM Skiwurrel
From the 'Gimme the lowdown on I-70 skiing thread'
"Just throwing this out there not sure which thread is for Colorado;
My friend was involved in an avalanche off grizzly peak beside abasin recently, lost a single 194 dynastar xxl pro rider(new black & orange version) with a marker kingpin. Does anyone check that area out and might find it? or know where I should post?
Thank you!"

Now y'all get on out there and pack that all down for me so it is ready in a few weeks.
A few years ago, in a good season w/ good base, I was riding CB on a 12"+ day, on a brand new fancy carbon board and got a core shot so deep I thought it would go through the board. That place has some serious rocks, and that's from a guy who skis Abasin a lot.

Somehow my work conscience and my desire not to shred my lovely new-ish skis and/or my old-ish knees won out. I figure it'll be better after some kind folks find the sharks/graters/mine fields. Hard to say how long my resolve will last though.
I appreciate the intel, ye local brethren.

I have a buddy in Denver who manages orthopedic surgeons. He's at a different hospital but may have some inside info. If you pm me some basic details I'll ask him what he knows and pass it along.

Joel Gonzales is great. I worked as a PA with him for 2 years and assisted him in lots of surgery. He is a gifted surgeon, good doctor and nice guy. He scoped both my knees after I left his practice and recommend him to friends for knee and shoulder injuries.
