If Telluride actually did clear their snowcam at 4pm, then they've received 8"+ in the last 4 hours.....Damn!

Back bowls at Vail had more than the reported 4 inches of fresh today. Dense so felt surfy and fun.

Eight (8) inches, or so, at my house, which means a foot at Wolfy. Taking the Billy Goats out tomorrow!

Surfy powder again. Wish it would switch over. The ability to go anywhere is cool though.

'Surfy' was the theme today......for only reporting 2" Breck skied much deeper than that up high today. It was really good.

1-2 feet of heavy snow with graupel on top on lee slopes in the Indian Peaks. Skied better than I expected: fast and surfy as stated above. Whereas late last week new snow was bonding poorly to old crusts, my digging/poking/stomping suggested the upper layers are pretty well bonded even in places where I can often find evidence of instability. There's a whole lot of mass in that new layer though.

Big warmup this afternoon. Might be looking at some pretty Epic dust on crust action tomorrow.

Nice! I was wearing a dark red jacket and had purple Billygoats in tow.

Staircase and East Trees proper were both DEEP and had perfect landings.

    Great day!

I’m in Durango now and probably skiing Purg tomorrow and then Silverton on Sunday if anyone is in the area.

Maybe Wolf Creek Monday if they get more snow then back to Denver.

No action shots today as my photog stayed home and rode his bike

Had a inkling you were in the house today so kept my eyes peeled. I was on my 16/17 BG yellow coat rust orange pants and saw one guy with a blue coat and 17/18 goats but he had no change for my nickel. Next time and yes it was an awesome day.
