Just starting in Vail. Well, not dumping, but tiny frozen precipitation.

Maybe in a week (Pattern change in 7-10 days, always the right answer!)

I can't believe no one started a "most Boulder thing ever" thread in the Padded room yet. Weak. I need to hear more about this Elk.

First day at the basin this year. Unreal what good shape it is in for mid-November. Primed and ready - with another decent storm it’s going to be really primo.

I was there early but got bored and took off (I've had a few days on Lenawee already), did they ever open anything else along west wall?

Not by the time I left around 11am. My guess would be for next weekend if Thanksgiving storm drops a couple inches. Both Beavers and Pali were spinning intermittently. Probably shuttling patrol, but never a bad sign to see them moving.

Snow is holding up well , especially on E/N aspects. Great to have so many skiable options this early in the season.

A meadow skipping day. Because I’m not as ballsy as whoever dropped the NE face of Stanley from the top today.

Yeah, I was just hoping to get a few runs in over there before heading out of town.

Tracks on Dog Leg today. Kinda ballsy.

Vail filled in quite nicely, especially considering before turkey day. Only second time I can remember skiing this much of the mountain this early.

Copper was good for one run yesterday and then was awful. No idea what the lift situation was but it was bad. Was winter park similar? Went and hiked mayflower after 2 laps and called it a day.

    Awful lines or awful conditions?

Lines weren't bad at all. Tbar was great for a run or two and then once that was tracked out the rest went downhill quickly.

And what did you expect for opening weekend? Actually, skiable terrain with "Not bad lines" is a few steps above what opening day usually is.

I'm not complaining just saying what was open and the snow conditions. The rest of the unopened mountain looked amazing. I was wondering if every denver person went to WP instead since there were no lines.

Nice surprise powder at Breck yesterday......tbar was busy, but skiing great in the favorable locations. Last time the tbar was open before Turkey Day was 2010. Can't complain, I'll take it!

Keystone opened Outback and North Bowl on Saturday. Got 6 laps before it tracked. Only line I stood in was River Run at opening. Skiing down Schoolmarm was terrifying of course.

Had the exact same experience, but took a few on Npeak too. Pretty good. Didn't even wait in line at River Run lift. And yes, the schoolmarm run was the most death defying thing I did all day. Got yelled at for straight lining in a flat area . Flipped the guy off and kept rolling. It's always nice to get that out of they way early in the season.

The east side was its usual conga line, but whatever, people love getting after it!
