Just drove up from Denver this evening and the smoke was bad the whole way. On the bright side it was low 50's on VP at 6pm. Went out this evening and threw on a light overshirt for the first time in awhile for that early in the evening.

Yeah, the 01/02 winter was absolutely terrible and the runoff season was the worst I've seen....but I don't recall the summer being as hot and dry as this one. It's been brutal, but it seems we've turned the corner....

Just said the same thing about turning the corner. This week has felt different.

Yep, we got absolutely poured on during our ride yesterday here in Eagle, and it even rained later at night too. Maybe we can get a few breaks here in the second half of August?

Pretty much across the street is https://www.parisidenver.com/parisi/. We will get pizza there before-hand. Their happy hour goes 3:00-5:00. PM me if interested. Even if you aren't taking a kid/s and want to meet-up shoot me a PM.

I did see some blue radar echos on the high peaks. That prompted me to look at the Pikes Peak summit cam and there were traces of snow in sheltered spots still there Sunday morning.
