    Lightbulb PSA for WA: Stevens Pass opening Thursday

    Monday, December 3, 2007

    Hello Skiers & Snowboarder! We are happy and excited to announce opening day, this THURSDAY, DECEMBER 6th.

    Hours of operation will be 9am to 4pm, conditions permitting.

    Lift schedules and other services operating will be announced on Wednesday, December 5th.

    It is still raining and is expected to continue throughout the day and tonight. The forecast looks favorable for Wednesday and Thursday. The highway is closed today (Monday) due to conditions.

    At the base we have 45" and 31 degrees. Up top we have 49" and 36 degrees.

    Groomers are out track packing and moving snow in preparation.

    We hope to see all of you on Thursday!

    maybe you should ask chris for a marketing position squirrel. you can be the online marketing manager... and run the stevens pass blog.

    good for them getting open. smart play waiting for the wet snow to groom and pack a tough base. might just save the snow from the rain.

    i'm not as excited as phill tho, just happy one more WA resort is going to be up and running.

    Question hmm, be interesting to see how much snow is left

    US 2 Stevens Pass Update:
    Stevens Pass reopened to traffic at 2:30 p.m. The temperature is above freezing, it's raining and approved traction devices are advised.

    The pass was closed at 6:45 a.m. due to avalanche danger.

    US 2, however, is closed from Coles Corner to Leavenworth and passenger vehicles are being detoured onto SR 207 and Chelan County's Chumstick Highway, around Tumwater Canyon where work to clean up more than 50 snowslides is expected to continue until 6 p.m. or later.

    and it would suck to be this guy...

    I think he is working on it. Sq99 gave me some hella cool new Stevens Pass stickers. Love the little blue birds. Congrats dude nice work.
