Sold and extremely regretful about it:
195X Guild X-50. Full on hollowbody archtop w/soapbar pickup, no cutaway. I paid $50 for it in the mid 1970's. Looked just like this one:

197X mahogany Gibson ES335. Paid $300 for this in the early 1980's
196X Fender single-neck pedal steel. $150 early 1980's
Fuck.Last edited by oftpiste; 04-18-2008 at 12:53 PM.

I have two main guitars that I switch back and forth between
Original 1966 Fender Strat with Seymour Duncan antiquities in the bridge and neck positions and an original in the middle position. I still have the original neck and bridge and although this maybe sacrilege to admit but the Duncan’s are clearly better pups.
I also play a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a 60's neck and Darkburst bridge pup and a Gibson burstbcker neck. I love this guitar!!! I must have tried 20-30 before choosing it and this one has the magic! It just fucking sings. Without getting to farsty artsy playing this Paul actually inspires me. I have owned and played countless guitars through the years and never has any other guitar (except 1 ESP) ever given me goose bumps.Last edited by board; 04-18-2008 at 12:42 PM.

Rescued 1989 Jackson USA Custom Shop King V.
The best neck I have ever seen on a guitar, and arguably the best craftmanship. Everything is fully shielded, what few holes are in the guitar are exactly as large as they need to be, and after a little TLC, everything works perfectly, including the genuine Floyd.
Cost me $400 to buy, and about another $150 to rescue/restore, but was offered $1500 cash by a shop in Texas for it. I will never part with it.

Updated (kinda):
I don't have the Dean anymore, and I am using a Boss OD-20 to drive the amp.
I really miss these:
...and these:
Some of these too:

As I probably mentioned in that old Telefunken thread:
BC Rich Mockingbird circa about '98. I'm a fan of the guitar, but not a fan of the Floyd Rose tremolo.
Danelectro thing circa about '98. Beater travel electric that actually plays better than the BC Rich.
Seagull S6+ acoustic circa '97.
Martin Backpacker circa '01. This is the pride and joy of the fleet. It's been on just about every trip I've gone on since I bought it. That includes adventures through Europe numerous times, Africa, Asia, South America, North America, and beyond. The only places it didn't go are the Mariana Islands (took the Dano) and my trip to Yurp this year.
Godin A4 acoustic/electric bass circa '97.
Kenyan spike fiddle (originally strung with wire, now has a viola string)
Turkish Baglama (dulcimer/mando thingy)
In the "had and sold, but don't really miss" category:
USA Fender Strat somethingorother. Fun, but had to go to make room for the BC Rich.
Martin Backpacker mandolin. What a piece of shit.Putting the "core" in corporate, one turn at a time.

I a pretty new to playing, and had an Epiphone Special II for a few years that got stolen when some crackhead tweakers broke into my house. With the insurance money, I picked up a Epiphone Les Paul Classic with a Vox AD15VT modeling amp. I really like the new set up better, and have played more with it than the past year with the old guitar. Yes, I will admit that I am a Guitar JONG, but with skiing, we all start somewhere, and being in my mid thirties with a wife and kids, rock star is not in the cards.

I still have these and more. Nothing really special aside from a Japan strat with swimming pool cutout (where the pickups go) that I’m building -> all shielded, locking Grover tuners, not quite sure about the pickups. Something super hot.
I have a bunch of amps also but only run a little musicmaster bass (basically a big champ) for noodling at home and a Orange AD 30 HTC thru a Orange 4x12 when I need some volume.

Shitty picture, but I beleive I see the heavy wood G&S warptail (NOT laminate) with Bennetts and the original sims pure juice reds on the right. Left is shit I can't tell. Bottom center a reissue Z-flex with what looks like the heavy ass ACS "downhill" truck (not the 651 , 580?) and some reissue wheels that resemble Kryps. Parcially obsured by the keyboards on the right looks like a rockett (going on decal only) with the really crappy bowl riders, original issue gull wings? that would be a horrible, unfunctional setup.
but Just a guess.
to the subject matter a fender flattop I got for christmas 1979. With a darthole just below the nuts. Pro tip: Don't play darts drunk with the board set up above yer guitar."Can't you see..."

ACS 500s on the OG Peralta WT1
Those are 580s with OG FIRST generation 60mm raised letter Kryptonics.
Those HEAVY ASS ACS Downhill trucks were the 650. Remember the massive base plates?
That would be a 27" G&S Bowl Rider with Phoenix.. and ya those crazy Sims Bowlriders. Looks badd assed. Slow as fuck on concrete.
Here are some Bennett Pros with UNBROKEN plastic base plates and the obligatory nose dinged FiberFlex.
