A couple of questions for Owens...
First off - do you get to see all the IP addresses and have a good laugh at all the lame aliases and secondly can you show us any graphs or stats of the traffic around the time when everybody decamped from powmag.com?
Is it also possible to see who makes the most Ignore lists?Last edited by bad_roo; 04-21-2004 at 12:33 PM.

You can 'Ask TGR' but you're not guaranteed a response...

I'd tell you, but I don't know. I'm claiming that this still counts as a response, though.

The Random Chas Factor spent two weeks in Jackson Hole and constantly referred to the bar at Teton Village as "The Magny Moose". None of us corrected him, instead preferring to openly laugh. Was this the correct thing to do?

Yep...
Yeah - I can se the Ip's and my admin feature links them up for me so I can see who is tweeking people. It really is pretty funny.
As far as the traffic influx, it was BIG. Really BIG.When you're feeling down, just remember: It's always darkest before it goes pitch .... fucking.... black.

Nope -- more of a server management thing than a bandwidth thing. It's a fine balance between keeping the server loads reasonable and tippingthe damn thing over. I tend to lean more to the conservative side.

I am curious as to the increase in online sales since the influx. I mean I have been buying tgr since all I had was VHS but my schwag purchases for me & the GF have definately increased since I am here anyway.
?!?

I just looked back at our web sales reports from last November, December, and January. They were up a bit more than 50% over year earlier web sales numbers.
It's pretty hard to draw conclusions from our numbers, because a lot of things have changed over the past couple of years, but wholesale sales (to shops) didn't increase anywhere near as much, so I think you could attribute quite a bit of that increase to "the influx."
It would be interesting to get Owens' point of view - he's got quite a bit more history on the web site than I do.

Have you got the love throbber WFO yet, Owens? I'm still getting 'server busy' messages whenever Jayfrizzo posts nekkid pictures of his hot wife.
