What other mountains? Are there any other mtns that far south to compete with Magic? Jiminy Peak? Gore?
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I'm in Mahopac but apparently the whole lower Hudson Valley area (from central Westchester on north) may not get above freezing today especially the lower elevations where all the cold air is trapped. Unfortunately for you 87 tends to stay in the lowlands.

for the record, it's all rain now here in smallbany.
rain on top of an inch of ice, but rain nonetheless.
damn, this storm would have been fucking epic.

So pissed, should have made plans to head north, or should have never came home.
Got to Berkshire at 8:00, an hour later then i wanted to, becouse my snowblower was broken, and by then it was all rain. Skinned on the praxis, and they tore the 1'' crust, 6" of sugar under it a new one. Once at the bottom I noticed I dropped one of my gloves half way up, so i put the xxl on the pack and ran up to get it, they made it so much harder to ski then the praxis.
Now i am home drinking a beer before noon. Don't judge, I earned it.

a big fuck you to the bush. Not that its their fault but i need to blame someone other than myself. A freind moved to jackson for the season and left me his bush pass. I guess too many of us used it and now its hotlisted. I couldnt even get up the fucking lift today.

bah!! and now its snowing again up there, it was sleeting when i left

That's a nice picture. It's one of my favorite lines there. The first tracks down there were good... How were the 2nd tracks?

It's been snowing here in St. A for most of the day. We got about 10-15 minutes of sleet around 10 AM or so but it quickly changed back to snow.

Nice, wish I had some pics from last Sunday at Stowe. Deepest I have seen this year.
