    Nice work.

    This one's a keeper.

How was the snowpack? It looks like stability must have been pretty good, though that's definitely changed with this last system.

Stability was great but that will go out the window now with 1m of new freshiez. Anyone into doing the NF later this year?

Comments insinuating the F1 is a poor skiing boot usually come from people who haven't spent any time skiing it. They ski pow conditions no problem. Just curious Lee, have you ever skied the F1?

Sorry Dirk - that was an offhand comment. I've skied the F3 and the F1. I'm not a finesse skier and don't think I have particularly good technique. I personally need a stiffer boot as a crutch for my (lack of) technique. I've seen people in F1s ski challenging conditions.

Given the length of the hike-in (I've hiked Singing Passing Pass to Russet in summer) that boot is an awesome choice for the long slog in but, for me, I doubt I'd have the ability to pull off skiing anything challenging in that boot.

How does the F3 ski? Wish I could demo it? Matrix stiff maybe? I dig the F1 for skis up to about 95mm in good conditions but went to the spirit 4 on my bigger rigs.

It skis like a slightly softer Laser. I skied a 2005 F1 in pow and the new 07-08 F3 in hardpack and choppy crud so keep in mind it was different conditions. The Intuition liner helps a lot with stiffness but like the F1 you have to stay really centred.

I was ok with the F3 in hardpack and it has decent lateral stiffness. I had a hell of a time getting rocked around on the F3 in the spring crud - just couldn't really get centred. Skied it with Dynafit TLTs on Movement Red Apple 74. http://www.leelau.net/2007/cayoosh0705/ - thats the TR with it

I was using my Icelantic Shamans 160/110/130 this trip. I think the hype about needing stiff boots to drive big skis is overated. It's more about weighting, balance and transitions.

The season has really begun. Guess I'll have to keep NSR stuff in the Padded Room from here on in...

Does it rhyme with missle or smile? Either way, it looks like an amazing peak.
