Question for you hop growers...
2nd year hops getting a lot of "side shoots". Do you prune these at all or let them go wild? Some are starting to entangle ea other. Imagine that's not best for them?

1/4 keg of strong saison left (never-ending), new keg of mosaic smash pale, 1/4 keg of session ipa.
in fermenters are a hoppy ipa w mosaic, amarillo and citra and a lawnmower beer w some citra....

Not sure if I'll be able to brew on big brew day but gonna do a mosaic smash tomorrow.

You reminded me to check if anythings happening here. Some action but yours are way ahead of mine.

Maybe try some glassware that hasn't been washed w typical dish soap. I believe that can affect your head a little.

I agree w/ scotty. if you have the space and extra equipment (sounds like you need to invest in some glass) just call it an experiment. add some bugs and giver another taste in 9 months.

yea I think you're right. been perusing online for some weldless kettle valve conversions kits. wondering if I really need a step drill bit to drill my hole or not?

prob the chiller given the possible time savings although def the most expensive of the items. no valve in my kettle (another possible upgrade) so I assume I'd need a pump as well?

I use a bath w/ an aquarium pump in the basement for my fermentation. seems to work pretty well although a little harder getting temps below 66 or so if need be but usually not an issue. scottyb,...

Plate chiller-have coil chiller now. Could be too expensive after pump purchase just to save a little time...?

Oxygen wand/tank- shake method seems to work fine...

How much of a pia to clean? I have a tendency to do alot of my cleaning (aside from rinsing) the next day.

Most of the carboys are full. RR Temptation clone aging away. House pale. India red ale. Farmhouse. IIPA brewing tomorrow. Wanna brew something else i can age till next winter. Have a RIS aging now....
