also, the sun goes down pretty early in january... expect the light to go flat by 3 or so, and that's if the top isn't already socked in the clouds. makes that valley run even more challenging what...

there are almost no "people of zermatt", they are all from somewhere else... 90% of the buildings in town are hotels. itsa tourist trap and is priced accordingly. any of the half dozens ski areas...

try talking him into staying on the other side. The Italian side is definitely cheaper and the food is much much better.
