I skied KW and Heavenly last two days of 2013. Quick report:

Kwood is fun, but limited terrain wise (3 hours and bored), still some off piste to tackle (none @ Heavenly). Rock skis are a good...

So I am skiing off the Wall chair and traversing skiers right to get below the cirque (into eagle bowl north face) and get some untracked snow. Couple of my buddies are with me but they start hiking...

I have an Alta 2 day ticket (mtn collective) and only two days in SLC.

Weather says bleh, but it will be fun skiing different lines besides Tahoe.

I'm going to Alta for the weekend of March 2,3 (sat/sun), I last skied here 17 years ago.
We're experienced skiers, in good shape. Probably bringing alpine gear over AT setup unless told otherwise....

Have a good line to the powers that be @ Kwood, here are a few tidbits I learned (SIAP)

PG&E will be adding power lines to Kwood along highway 88, gonna charge $.35 kw/hr (ouch but beats diesel!)...

Mag rally @ kwood tomorrow! well, me. Shout out if you see me (orange Oakley top, tan Oakley pants, white smith helmet), prob the only Asian bearded dude steezer on the mtn!

I disliked helmets, mostly due to their sweaty nature,

but with my Smith Variant with headphones and GoPro mount, I ski with it 99% of the time now and it's great:

The only thing I like about these little skis is the mad 720's you can throw with them off 1 inch bumps. Other than that, they are overgrown chopsticks.
