anyone tried the Golite Neoshell jacket? at 225$ (more or less the same in €) seems a real steal.
Question for Hoji's owners: i'd like to "streamline" my quiver (i.e. I have too many skis and not enough time to use them), i have a wailer 105 (which i am keeping), a wailer 112, a lotus 138 and a...
Beautiful as usual. Klar, what part of Austria are you from? Where are those mountains? (If i can ask...)
I have been once a long time ago and it is not bad. It is not the Dolomites, I remember it as very low key place for regular joes (no getaway of choice of the rich and famous like Cortina, Madonna di...
I live about 30 kms from the factory (near Montebelluna, Italy) but I have never seen a single pair of Crispis in my life. They seem to have more following abroad than here. They look interesting...
I have both but i am a jong so really i know nothing. As far as my jonginess allows me to understand, they are really different skis. Like, really different. Dps is easy, turns on a dime and has a...
I have last year's one and apart some minor cuts on the cuffs (normal with all pants), they held up really well. the look cool and fit nicely. I like them.
I am from treviso, about forty kms north of padova. Lots of places where to ski (if it snows). By train? Possible but not easy. You can get to Longarone and from there take the bus to Val Zoldana,...
like it, culturally interesting and skiing did not look bad either.
ben fatto.
liked that (liked more classical music than the modern one).
de gustibus disputandum non est
cool cool TR, Kalisto. beautiful places and it really looked like fun and good company.
∧∧∧∧∧
that pic is beautiful, really stoke inducing
that was sweet
broham, skiing is good but it is simply too long. not that I know anything about editing (or skiing), but considering that you are a good skier, I would make it much much shorter (three minutes max)...
it wasn't bad, doublediamonds. you were smart enough to keep it very short and music was ok. i would look for different angles though, otherwise as others said, it is knees watching more than else.
dogs + skiing = I like.
Great TR.
peds, you could try them on some steep colouir in chamonix...good luck!
they look cool, btw.
cool video, good job.
man, so much snow there and nothing here, on the other side of the alps.
looked like fun.
what XavierD said i.e. why wouldn't you want some rocker?
ahh, must be hard working in the industry and come out every year with something new.
really cool and "anthropologically" interesting TR.
bravo.
impressive, scary and gnarly and totally worth the time, thanks for posting (I'll get the whole documentary when is out in March).
i like your sense of humour (we tend to see skiing too seriously as it it were really important to us....)
sick snow and terrain
∧∧∧
yeah..you are right...also that would be rock(er) on demand...
i see that as a solution to a problem that did not exist (but maybe i am not smart).
people need new things to spend their money on....
I am at home with the flu with much time to kill so I am spending my time reading books (Steven Johnson's "Where good ideas come from" being a pretty interesting one) and reading this ski forum...
i suck at skiing and I have been taking lessons for the past 3 seasons (and still suck-ish). the more i learn the proper technique the more i like moguls. i now even look for them while a couple of...
very interesting (and funny) review.
nice blog/diary (your website)
great tree skiing, incredible powder, the music...well...I don't know...
I want to go to Hokkaido. Must be beautiful. Next year, for sure. Thanks for also for the non strictly skiing related pics.
ehi, those are the Wugazi...very cool musical selection (and skiing did not suck either)
I enjoyed reading your short recap of the past months. That was cool and I am happy that you are happy.
Thanks for the (non strictly skiing related) stoke
looks interesting but expensive as hell. For Norwegian standards, probably not that expensive, now that I think about it.
In any case, I (kind of) like it.
I mailed the guys at Causwell I think it was mid December because I really liked the Mineral pants and jackets, they told me that they were starting to send the goods out to retailers in that moment...
I have a pair of Flylow Baker (size L, orange) brand new and I am selling them because they are a tad too large for me. I am 180 cm x 75 kg and I'd probably should have taken an M. If you are...
I restarted skiing three years ago (after 20 plus years of snowboarding) and I did the only reasonable thing I could do: take (a lot of) lessons.
Having bought 3 pairs of DPS did not help at all,...
anybody has actually skied them?
Gary, it's a looong way from Venice to Terrace, I plan to come back to Vancouver in the very next future and when I am doing so, I'll make a (little...) detour to Terrace, that's for sure.
I tried...
so it seems that East is the new West.
Got the Higgins jacket and Baker bibs, super cool stuff but I got the wrong size (L) so I am selling them brand new, used half a day:
Higgins jacket: 150€ plus shipping (Italy 10€, rest of Europe I...
Big Steve, ok, now I get it. Still if I have the chance I would love to try one of those skis.
Has anybody actually tried the Vectors? Alpinord why are you saying that you do not trust the skis' durability in mank and heavy snow? Durability as in being robust products or you mean something...
he said softshell with powder skirt and I have never seen one. By the way, I have had several jackets with powder skirts and most of the time I forgot I had them (and did not use them). They can help...
Lhasa Pow, used maybe 20 times (or less), base is absolutely perfect, some minor topsheet chipping, skis are like new having been used by a super jong like me.
I would like to sell locally (Italy or...
looks like you spent some really good days in Switzerland (and you did find good pow!). watching your vids is always enjoyable.
Thanks guys for your advice. I definitely agree with Alpinord when he says that the waxless Vectors could be a viable (and functional) option for those days when you want to explore mellow terrain...
