Is it possible to rivet on a ladder buckle for the instep cable? Then just remove the long cable and tubing.

Pungo 120 is a great choice. I have one. I'm able to cram my 85 lb mutt in with me so you should have plenty of room.

Haven't got mine in front of me, but there's a small bolt/rivet head on the outside of the frame that may interfere with the plate for some BSL's. This causes the plate to be offset 1-2 mm's at rear...
