Been skiing Crystal since day 1... Waterfall is One of those 'you'll know it when you ski it places".. (note: too many slides to maintain it.. so bye bye)

Each has their own appeal - Alpy is closer, but, Crystal has 4 times the terrain.

If you ski Crystal you can't be all bad....

You might consider skipping silver star and hitting Sun Peaks - then Baker or
perhaps Crystal.

Baker has some of the best!!

Alta Vista - Ok spot at bottom of access road -
some cheap rooms in Greenwater - also bottom of road...
then of course... RV in the Parking Lot

Some Hostels in Seattle -
At Crystal - Alpine inn is best option or - hit the Parking lot (lots of RVs)

I remember when the village was the garbage dump.... who'd a thought it would cost so much to stay there.....

Seattle and Portland probably offer the best employment options - bigger cities - multiple Universities and Colleges etc. Both have good day skiing within an hour or two and resorts within 3-4...

Plan only enough to know the basic route and where all the gems are....

I.e. Big White/Sun Peaks can be great stops... BUT - Best advice is follow the snow...and minimize road time... trip has to...

This trip is a recipe for divorce......

Crystal is a skiers mountain - everything else is bare bones...

Whistler - great for non-skiers -
Schweitzer - could be a fun trip but still limited...

The expansion will be great.. except that more people will get to lines we used to hike for...

Wish you'd stop telling the world how great Crystal is... they'll all want to cum and play...
