I wouldn’t pay extra to get a hydra or 350 over the 1/1 on any of the wheel builds. The 1/1 is a sneaky good product.

I have 162.5s on my commuter (some cheap replacements I bought at a random shop when I hade a mid-ride crank snap…)

170s on all other bikes. Even 170s on the peloton.

You might be able to buy a new damper with more knobs for that Pike and spend only $200, not $1000….

The 36 Grip2 is money though and you would be able to get the performance you’re looking for…....
