Hmm may have to consider surefoot now... I have WEIRD boxey feet and have always had fit issues despite many tweaks. Doesn't help that I prefer a tight racing boot style fit.

Mammoth is usually higher-enough elevation to avoid those events that plague Tahoe.

Not local so take it with a grain of salt but I doubt there is a whole lot of enforcement happening, especially if you're stealth.
