I skied Sun Valley in 1976 during the first Black Ski Congress. I had a brand new Obermyer ski suit with yellow strips.

The Bro’s had a ball and I was the “yellow streak”.

We had three groups per ship, working a zone.
1st group to the LZ, got the next lift.
Not really lapping, just moving up in line. We got 13 runs that day.

I missed my flight to Valdez, so I drove all night to Rendezvous Lodge, just in time to catch the last ship going out the next morning.

You'd be surprised. I was riding a lift over a steep powder run and watched a ski run just below the surface, a good hundred yards.
