Most of that due to the reservation/day pass surge pricing/blackout/parking reservation cluster maze that a seasons pass seems to solve (and clearly by design by Alterra/Vail)

The inevitable increase in cost after many years of being (too) cheap is upon us.

What are you arguing Alta? That it doesn't make sense for Alterra / Vail to have ownership in the PNW?
Vail/Alterra each tapping into ownership of Seattle serving ski hills was a no brainer for them...

Buying Crystal was very obvious for Alterra...at first it was for access to the wealthy Puget Sound skiers wallet who would take the Ikon pass and hit the road to stay and spend at their other...

I saw multiple occasions last year while the wagons were pulling away, some buffoon would try and jump aboard the moving shuttle (in ski boots nonetheless), makes you wonder if someone got run over...

To be expected, there'll be a lodge/food issue this year with the base renovations.

I don’t think they care how PNW areas HAVE functioned, they are trying to open up additional revenue opportunities by adding on the retail/resort/restaurant sectors. Face it, we’re at ski area...

That's still $8k for 4 unlimited passes....that's cool that you don't have to think about it, but that's a lot of dough for a lot of people, and you still have to mess w/ reservations/crowds/etc, and...

Except you get stuck in the snake up 410/Blvd while the poors pull off into F lot.

There's been requests for increases in pass costs/a move to a Crystal pass, yes.
There hasn't been people asking for above + reservations + paid parking.

And still yet reservations/paid parking after spending $1600...$500 for advanced parking w/ early access to reservations...

I guess it was inevitable with the insatiable demand for skiing....

OpenSnow 10 day shows next to nothing resembling January conditions, give it a few days but likely postpone
