From Seattle you cant go wrong for family trips to either Big White or Sun Peaks. Exchange rate, good lodging slopeside/village options, on Ikon/Indy passes, can’t imagine how either would cost...

The 4am wake ups to beat the 7:30 greenwater / blvd red snake, 4x a winter pineapples and $24 half plate of fish n chips out of a shipping container don’t have you jazzed to spend 4 digits?

Most of that due to the reservation/day pass surge pricing/blackout/parking reservation cluster maze that a seasons pass seems to solve (and clearly by design by Alterra/Vail)

Ikon full pass went up $200 no?
The inevitable increase in cost after many years of being (too) cheap is upon us.

Fwiw my Jskis were used when I got on them first, and didn’t do any tuning or wax.

I and others had the same experience with the Hotshot, taking even a couple days for them to click. Description of issues very similar.
Interesting to me that the Masterblaster had a learning curve...

Might be for the better. That other side meshes into the Gondy line and becomes impassable at times as folks are queuing, stepping out and stepping into their skis, for the two different lifts

Lookout, Mt Rose, Whitefish, Whitewater could have been nice (but at the same time it’s nice to know some do remain truly independent, even from an Indy pass)
