Not a bad on the glacier yesterday.
Then went for a rip at Juniper....

Rode kloos yesterday I wouldn't say it epic but it's pretty good. A couple snow patches yet.

Season pass deal is the Best idea Pano bike park has had ever. I kinda laughed at the only 1000passes...

Rode Juniper Wednesday and it was all good to the creek. A couple small snow patches but overall it's on.
Found nice pow up high today too!...

Juniper, still snow patches in the trees and east facing areas.
Another week maybe and it will be gone, then dealing with frost....

Bike season has started in Invermere area, was able to piece together a 2 hr ride on dirt. Its still a good 2 weeks away from full on riding.

1cm in the village at Pano....
But the backcountry is still very good, this zone borders on heli terrain. We accessed via sleds, saved $1000 and skied the same runs lol....

I know all about the Taynton glading and it has opened helped but there is way more usable terrain mid mountain where you don't have to use the ski out. Taynton is great but it's 10 good turns then...

The discovery chair should have gone to the top of founders imo.

There is a ton of unused terrain on the lower mountain, it just needs glading.

But there is no big splash marketing in cutting...

I agree a lift will kill the good side of Taynton, The cat tow has started it already.

Taynton terrain is great, the ski out not so much.

There Was about 30cms across the road today in Paradise. I left my house at 1pm, ripped 4 fresh laps and back home before 6. Braaap!

Rode a back country spot near Fernie yesterday and it was fantastic. Probed 340cms, Pretty solid crust under the 70cms of fresh storm snow. Nothng moving when riding but new snow hasn't bonded to...

Tough call, it can close anytime for an hr or 5 days.... Many times when the Banff hiway is closed so is the Kootenay 93. If it is open allow and extra 2 hrs to drive to Radium and backup to Golden. ...

Not official but word is the group involved did not notify patrol before leaving boundary. I believe it was the avy tech's who responded who are also s+r.

-32 in the truck at Pano today -20 at the summit . I have never seen it so quiet for Christmas in the 15 years since I moved here.
Snow is fantastic if you are tough enough, which I am not.

Pano official opening this weekend and Taynton will be open. My kid is patrolling this winter and said it is really good.

Backcountry in the Invermere area has been very nice the last few weeks...

Valley riding is superb right now. Kloosifier, Juniper area, Fairmont all good.
