I unreasonably have more skis than toes and fingers, so it’s time to sell some skis.

I tried to rate the skis based on the Powder 7 rating scale. Rating Scale Reference Video

For what it's worth here is another data point. I'm 5ft8 about 170-180lbs. I usually like to ski with my "picnic" backpack though which adds another 10-15lbs. I would consider myself a cautious...

It's interesting because they are not stiff tip to tail. The Dx has a noticeably stiffer tail vs tip, so mount point really matters. Perhaps that's what you're experiencing?

I recently skiied the Dx and QST Blank back to back, very different style of skis. Wondering if I should share it here or on the QST Blank thread?

  7. Will these skins from my "narrow" skis work for my "wide" skis?

I’m a beginner in ski touring and was wondering if these skins from my narrower ski (106 underfoot) would work on my new wider ski (115 underfoot)?

From what I’ve read I should be ok for 80%-90%...

You mean the 192 Dx or Ranger?

If it's the Ranger, I'm still kicking myself for not getting the 182 once I saw how rockered the shovel was on a modern "pow" ski.

You're exactly right, I don't always get to ski pow, as I live in Vangroovy (rofl).

I wish I could change the thread title. I'm really looking for which 100+ wide ski I should keep, for pow and...

Anything over 100 underfoot is a pow ski for me, since I don't actually get a lot of pow/crud/chop days in a season. My "daily driver" skis are all narrower than 100 as I usually prefer...

After skiing the 175cm Fischer and 178cm Rossi, I finally understand why length isn't everything. The Fischer skis longer than the Rossi, and is so much more stable on a proper turn. The Rossi is...

I don't know if a Declivity X can be a daily driver at 115 underfoot. I ski Whistler Blackcomb often and it's usually more chop and crud I have to deal with. Wouldn't such a wide ski just finish runs...
  16. I’ve made too many impulse buys on pow skis and now I need help to cut bait!

I’ve bought too many powder skis and could use some advice on what to do/sell. I bought them all on really good deals which is why I ended up with 3 pairs. I have some sentimental attachment these so...

All the reviews I've read say the 108 is more forgiving than the 107ti, and I felt the 107ti was already perfect for me as far as dampness/stability. I was also mainly looking for a longer version...

  20. WTB: Fischer Ranger 107 ti 182cm (PNW)

I have the 175cm but I can't scratch the itch of trying the 182cm at least once in my life everytime I ski it. I know there's a new Fischer Ranger out there, but I'll stick to one thing at a time.
