Im about your same size and I demoed the Rustler 11 in 192 the other day and it rips. I had a blast on it. Might be a bit much for the resort though. Its a crusher for sure. Manageable in the bumps....

Large wet slide. Wet slides dont care about mitigation work. It takes a LOT of warmth to cause a slide like that. Record warmth for an extended period of time. Rare to see it this early in the year.

I bikes about 5K miles in the last year (Denver/Boulder). Lots of winter days in the 60's and even 70's. Crazy.

This next "storm" has all the makings of a skunker for Eagle Co. and maybe even Summit. The jet is still too east of Co. so Colorado is on the "unhappy" side of it still. Been the norm this winter....

Awesome day at The Beav today....if it were March! Spring like skiing below 10500 ft. on sunny slopes. I actually enjoyed the sun and soft snow.

Usually Steamboat is the best bet for December. Wolf Creek can get lucky but it is really hit or miss and dependent on large dumps. Steamboat has much more consistent snowfall during early season.

I agree, best to stick to lower angle stuff and avoid above treelike and open terrain. There was a wicked wind storm around Vail a few days ago.

Those are the best ones. Much better than hyped up 12" storms that attract heavy crowds on the hill but only 1-4" falls.

How are the Vail bowls looking? Did you get a look back there?

It's a grind. The climb is over 9,500 ft vert. The ski down is over 5,500 ft vert which is a nice reward.

WOW, best overnight snowfall for the i70 resorts in the past two seasons...and on the very last day for many of them.

Should be amazing out there. Go get it. Everything should be good.

If I could I would go to Vail. Think North to East wind and trees. (21/22). Anything steep is likely to be bumped up and anything wide open will most likely have nastiness under.
