The biggest cutthroat I have ever seen. Caught by a client on the lake.
Scamps are cool and all but far less space inside than your typical pop up. I wouldn't want to tow a scamp with my tacoma either, you'd probably want an actual truck to pull one, not that I haven't...
Beartooth will definitely be skiing into mid July this year. The basin is pretty amazing and right across the road from it is a really nice couloir that holds snow for a while. I wouldn't shy away...
I can't believe all of these naysayers. I live in my 1971 pop up all summer in Yellowstone and have taken it all over the place, even with another couple. I'm definitely going to upgrade relatively...
Jamespio, the lake has been slow but I have still managed to not get skunked with my fly rod each time I have been out - got a 4.5lb laker on a black wooly bugger the other day, so not all is lost....
Why do all these sweet industry jobs require a degree in engineering? Let me know when a fish bum job opens up, I am well qualified!
Meanwhile, in Montana...

The biggest we measured was 27" and 6.88lb. It was a good spring.
The PM can be pretty good fishing... Check out the Au Sable for browns.
Blocked on YouTube for me for some reason.
I'm excited to see the entire process through the production of the skis. Hopefully we'll see some diverse designs.
I guide on Yamahas and really like them for what I do - and that's travel groomed roads only. We never see anything bottomless and the minute someone goes off the road, the sled is pretty much stuck....
I probably wouldn't skip the Missouri at holter/hauser or the big hole. If you're still a couple weeks out streamers on the Madison and Yellowstone will be supreme.
Just saw a picture of a 34" brown from the hole. Maybe I need to actually make this happen...
I'm tentatively in and don't have a raft, but do have a pop up camper (aka 2 extra dry beds).
Fitting send off I think and a great way to remind ppl of the impact of mcconkey.
Awesome! Glad it's getting the recognition it deserves. Reread the article and it was just as gripping as when I first read it.
That's one hell of a winter - way to get after it.
I know I'm not the first person to point this out but you sure can be a douche sometimes, rog. These guys are skiing a line that is just about unfathomable and you're the first to point out they took...
Anyone headed out to the sweet corn fest the weekend after next?
Proper stoke and some big air.
Both of these are cringe-inducing for sure.
This is just plain sad. Hope for the employees that the company changes its mind.
You dated the only girl in Alaska?
Way to get after it on a classic line. Nice pictures as well!
For the record, I love my maestroes - they have topsheet chipping issues to be sure, but are a really fun, poppy ski that can be put on their rails and ridden no problems on the hardpack. Pretty...
Yes because the outside lens will definitely not suffer from the exact same problem once you render your goggles entirely useless
Way to drudge up a year-old thread. Coverage is fine everywhere.
Nice porcupine picture!
This would be great info for me as well... Anyone??
God I love this thread.
If there's one thing that's certain it's that she's living her dreams...
Thanks for posting this up - I know when I see a low avi report I sometimes need to check myself and keep myself honest about what I'm doing out in the backcountry...especially sidecountry. This is...
Wow - that's a hell of a day, way to get after it.
This thread has some real potential.
Quick way to blow a bunch of money, but I'll be comfy.
Am somewhat interested in the mw's but am waiting for rocker porn pics.
Are the Megawatts of the rockered variety?
Anyone vouch for this guy? I'm potentially interested in the $100 Roam for the fishin' net.
...way to rub it in.
I'd definitely recommend the Lamar over slough unless you're going to the third meadow. Those cuts are some of the pickiest fish I've ever fished for...but every one of them is 16" it's like catching...
And welcome to TGR - the friendliest community on the internet!
Successful troll, sir.
I could definitely use a burlier pair of AT boots than what I have and can figure out my own liner no problem. I'm not young or crusty and live in Park City, but I can guarantee these get plenty...
Looks amazing - can't wait for it.
This is awesome - I wish I were up there to volunteer.
Props to ccwaskier for an awesome deal on an avalung pack! Quick shipping to boot.
Got the pack in the mail day before yesterday - looks great, awesome deal. Thanks!
Great stoke - thanks for sharing!
This looks like a really easy way to lose a snowboard.
Edit: Now I see that there's a tether. Pussies.
I like them here - I don't check the weather forum unless it's a powder day.
