Today was surreal, magical and epic. Was one of maybe fifty cars that made it to the lot before the road shut down. Skied from 8:50-noon. Not a lift line to speak of. Got 17 runs in. All ......

That Meadows traffic was crawling at 6:45. It was bright red brake lights like a snake from
tflat road down to 35.

Got up here early enough. Timberline road is forked up. Basically plows have had one pass. Sides are deep and drifted. So it's single lane. Plows waiting for people to dig out. Bout a half...

I understand. But, I am not gonna let them ruin my morning. (I just want to go from 9-12) It's gonna be crowded everywhere tomorrow.

I got my masters in Corvallis. Sleepy town with smart people and lots of great countryside. If I could land a job there equivalent to my pay in PDX, I would relocate and gladly ski WP and The Doo.

I've found that a pair of skins can help one get back to the resort. (in summer it is one hell of a glorious ski from Illumination saddle to the tree line.)

I'm happy for you. Keep discovering and don't tell nobody. Not only are there goods at Tflat, but the vibe is way more chill. Even with lift lines, I've never waited more than 5 minutes.

Today, it was very much the same at Tflat. Specifically the groomer crowd populating lift mazes and the multiple untracked runs in trees through blower pow. Still got a dozen amazing runs in before...

We are heading up tomorrow. Schools are still closed.

Another amazing day at the Tflat. The snow was soft, deep, and well.. pretty damned light. It was a ghost town. Which made it very easy to get lap after lap.

Did it top two Wednesdays ago? ...

You are not an intermediate. And fwiw, I have only been there on fresh powder days when much of it wasn't ready to ski. So, we skied that North facing ridge. Run.. after run... after glorious run....

We should do a 2022 Mag meetup at Mount Bailey Snowcats! (I miss OZ and was lucky ski with him a few times. We could rent the whole cat. I bet we could do a gofundme. :biggrin:
