CX is a blast. Different areas have different scene. If you are having an off race you can always take a beer and hotdog hand up during it.

I completely agree with the Patagonia Alpine Houdini. There are differences between this year (prefer) and last years models, but I have seen last years for $90-$120.

Thanks very useful. I am 6'3ish 160lbs and have found with Arcteryx pants that are long enough I can fit two or three if my asses in them. Clothing can be a struggle.
